Inspiring interiors

This had to be a multifunctional room which sparked imagination. The client wanted to incorporate a map into the scheme and this wayfinding article served as inspiration for the design.

Honest materials one might utilise when exploring such as steel and canvas were pitched against each other and geometric forms that may be encountered on a map were picked out.

The colour palette gives a whimsical edge which works well in this versatile room. The bay window recess is utilised to maximise seating with the bespoke bolsters providing a contemporary twist.

The result is bold and adventurous yet practical.

Bespoke interior design

It's all in the detail... custom cushions commissioned by Beam Interiors were finished in tactile 100% recycled polyester, fabrics mixed front to back to give the client variation and included contrasting zips.

Bespoke Vibia lighting with Bluetooth dimmable control was specified. The geometric forms are found throughout the room design along with the tactile industrial materials from which they are constructed.

A one-off tile design from Smink Studio revamps the existing fireplace providing an abstract focus without dominating the room

3D Model vs. Design

Computer generated 3D visualisations were an effective tool for the client to get an understanding of the space before it was completed. Comparison of these images demonstrates the accuracy and effectiveness of Beam Design 3D models when compared to the finished result.
